LOTHAL TOWN
Lothal Town is about re-imagining a mini Harappan town, that shall take the visitors on a voyage of a historical setting to an old Harappan town. This shall be created within the central courtyard of the museum surrounded by a water body reflecting on creating an ambience of an old Lothal Dock. A large gathering space shall be created for the visitors to sit back and enjoy evening shows within the Lothal town. This will have a re-creation of key maritime features such as architectural and urban planning of the three Harappan sites replicating the ancient houses, streets and markets of the Harappan settlements. The town shall be developed to be an engaging space for visitors experiencing walkthroughs, workshops, food stalls and market places. The market place will be a unique way of bartering things like old times where societies existed without money and void of any medium of exchange.
